드라이스택 Drei Stack은 디자이너 한준석이 기획, 설립한 독립 출판 및 북디자인 스튜디오 서점입니다. 대규모 출판의 관행에서 벗어나 일러스트레이터, 그래픽 아티스트, 시각 서사를 만드는 창작자들과 협업하여 형광 인쇄와 수작업 제본을 통해 소량 출판물을 제작합니다. Drei Stack에서 만드는 모든 책은 디자인, 인쇄, 제본 전 과정을 자체적으로 수행합니다. 각 책의 제본 방식, 페이지 구조, 종이 종류, 인쇄 기법은 그 안에 담긴 내용에 의해 결정됩니다. 저는 오늘날 책이 무엇까지 될 수 있는지 다시 생각하며, 출판을 표준화된 산업 공정이 아닌 창작적 실천으로 위치시킵니다.


Drei Stack schlägt ein experimentelles Publikationsmodell vor, das sich von den Praktiken der Massenproduktion und des Vertriebs im etablierten Verlagsmarkt löst und die Zusammenarbeit mit Künstler*innen in den Mittelpunkt stellt. Jedes Buch wird nur in der tatsächlich benötigten Auflage hergestellt.

Drei Stack ist ein unabhängiges Studio, eine Buchhandlung und ein Verlag für Buchgestaltung, gegründet und geleitet vom Designer Han Joonseok. Abseits der Konventionen großangelegter Verlagsproduktion arbeitet Drei Stack mit Illustratorinnen, Grafikartistinnen und anderen Gestalter*innen visueller Erzählungen zusammen, um kleinauflagige Publikationen mittels Fluoreszenzdruck und handwerklicher Bindung herzustellen. Gestaltung, Druck und Bindung aller Bücher entstehen vollständig im eigenen Haus. Bindungsart, Seitenstruktur, Papier und Druckverfahren jedes Buches werden von seinem Inhalt bestimmt. Indem Drei Stack danach fragt, was ein Buch heute alles sein kann, versteht das Studio Publizieren nicht als standardisierten Industrieprozess, sondern als kreative Praxis.
